Author Guidelines

General Information

Al-Hikmah: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Pengembangan Masyarakat (e-ISSN: 2685-4376; p-ISSN: 1907-4328) provides an international scholarly forum for research in da’wah science and community development. The journal serves as a bridge that imports community development approaches into the realm of Islamic studies and exports Islamic studies into the field of da’wah and social transformation in Indonesia.

The journal welcomes diverse paradigms and methodologies—whether theoretical, empirical, qualitative, quantitative, or comparative-historical—in exploring Islamic and social-humanities issues. Published twice a year (April and October) by the Faculty of Da’wah, State Islamic University of Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember, Al-Hikmah prioritizes manuscripts that address significant scientific, social, religious, and humanitarian phenomena relevant to Indonesian and global contexts.

Articles may be written in Indonesian, Arabic, or English. To maintain high academic standards, all submissions undergo a plagiarism screening and a double-blind peer review process conducted by experts in the relevant fields.

Submission Policy

  • The manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere.

  • Authors must register on the journal website and submit manuscripts through the Open Journal System (OJS).

  • Starting from the 2023 edition, Al-Hikmah has implemented an upgraded OJS platform and accepts manuscripts from international contributors.

  • Manuscripts that do not conform to the guidelines may be returned for revision before the review process begins.

Differences or similarities with previous studies should be critically analyzed. Use subheadings when necessary to organize the discussion.

  8. Conclusion
The conclusion must summarize the main findings and clearly answer the research objectives. It should not merely repeat the results but also offer insights, recommendations, and directions for future research.

  9. Acknowledgments
Authors may acknowledge individuals or institutions that provided administrative, technical, or material support not covered by authorship or funding.
